Jira Service Management
🗨️ Summarizing comments of an issue
One of the extremely useful features of Atlassian Intelligence is the ability to summarize comments on an issue. The usage is extremely simple: just open an issue and click the “Summarize” button in the comment section, and in a moment, you get a summary of the comments linked to specific users who are responsible for the actions. So, the functionality of this feature is seamless, intuitive, and fast. 🚀
The user experience is significantly enhanced with this feature. It eliminates the need to sift through potentially hundreds 💯 of comments to understand the crux of the discussion.
This can be particularly beneficial in scenarios where issues have been open for a long time and have accumulated a large number of comments. From a productivity standpoint, this feature is invaluable. It saves users a significant amount of time ⏰ that would otherwise be spent reading through each comment.
From our point of view, this feature is a perfect example of a simple yet very helpful use case of AI.
🚨 Similar requests recognition
One of the features, that seems very simple and straightforward. Just click the Similar requests button and in a few seconds, similar requests are displayed. If you think about it, this can really save a huge amount of time ⏰ for service management.
There are a lot of cases, where you can get a lot of similar requests. Like when you have a bug and a lot of clients raise the same requests. Or you can check if there has been the same request in the past. 🎯 With this function, you can quickly check for similar requests and link them together in a moment.
By the way, this feature is not classified as one of the Atlassian intelligence features, but it apparently uses some AI 🤖 in the background so we included it anyway. We feel that this feature is a game-changer for service management agents, just like the AI SnapRead for Jira which we have recently rewieved here.
Jira Software
🤖 Atlassian Intelligence Assistant
This feature in Jira Software Atlassian Intelligence is a content generation assistant. It has been designed to provide helpful information and assist users in generating content. The main function of Atlassian Intelligence is to fulfill user requests for various types of content. Whether you need help with writing ✍️ an article, creating documentation, or generating code snippets.
Assistant is built into Issues comment section. We can divide the functionalities into three parts. You can summarize the text written 📝 in the comment field. You can ask the Assistant to brainstorm about a specified topic. Or you can generate any type of content from short comments 🗨️ to long articles. The generated content is very nicely formatted and you can also insert tables.
🌐 Natural language to JQL
One of the ways Atlassian Intelligence can help you is by allowing you to search for issues in Jira Software using natural language queries. This means that instead of having to use complex JQL or SQL queries, you can simply type in a question or statement in plain English 💂 and Atlassian Intelligence will understand what you’re looking for and return relevant results.
This feature is extremely useful whether you are a JQL expert or a total beginner. For both, this feature can save you a lot of time and boost 🚀 your productivity. And from our experience, even if the product is still in testing, the generator works very well and produces hardly any errors. We find this feature extremely helpful, yet a simple usecase of artificial intelligence, similar to Smart Labels for Confluence we have reviewed in previous article.
Conclusion
In conclusion, Atlassian Intelligence emerges as a game-changing addition to Atlassian’s suite of cloud ☁️ products, seamlessly integrating the capabilities of artificial intelligence 🤖 with the practical needs of teams and individuals.
The ability to summarize comments within Jira Service Management streamlines the user experience, making it effortless 😎 to distill essential information from extensive discussions. This efficiency boost is particularly valuable in scenarios involving long-standing issues with a multitude of comments.
Similarly, the “Similar requests recognition” feature, while seemingly straightforward, has the potential to save a significant amount of time for service management professionals 💼 by quickly identifying analogous requests, aiding in issue resolution and historical reference.
Jira Software’s Atlassian Intelligence Assistant is aiding users in crafting articles, documentation 📜, and code snippets. Its diverse functions, from summarizing text to generating formatted content, make it a versatile tool for enhancing productivity and content creation.
Another notable aspect is the integration of natural language to JQL, which opens up Jira Software searches to all users, regardless of their familiarity with query languages. This feature streamlines the process, enhancing productivity for both beginners and experts, all while maintaining impressive accuracy during testing.
In essence, Atlassian Intelligence offers a glimpse into the transformative potential of AI within collaborative work environments. It not only simplifies complex tasks ✅ but also empowers users to achieve more in less time.
